Rajput Sabha demands representation in PSC

Rajput Sabha demands representation in PSC

In an emergent meeting held under the chairmanship of Thakur Pavitar Singh, President Shree Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, a strong resentment was shown by all members regarding non-inclusion of biradari members in the recently announced six members of the Public service commission by the Lt. Governor.

Rajput community being the second largest community in Jammu & Kashmir is exceptionally nationalist and patriotic, and has made huge sacrifices, since independence in defending the security and sovereignty of the state and nation. Maharaja Hari Singh’s decision of merging with union of India was historical and has paved the way to strengthen security of our nation. He said that a discriminatory and suppressive policy was unleashed by Kashmir centric politicians for the last 72 years, which has caused colossal and irreversible damage towards the growth and development of the community.

Pavitar Singh said that Lt. Governor during his recent meeting with Rajput Sabha delegation had assured that a Rajput community member shall be considered as his advisor.

“This imbalance in the representation of society in PSC shall brew resentment among the people which shall send a wrong signal. We request the LG administration to include members of our community so that a balanced representation is reflected in the society for the prosperity and development of state which is already passing through a tough time without any political system”, said Pavitar Singh.

Others present in the meeting include Kuljeet Singh, Ravi Singh, Pawan Singh, Rakesh Singh, Ashish Katoch, Rakesh Singh, MS Katoch.
