Reasi: Reasi police today recovered Hooch along with still and utensils. As per the reports an information was received at Police Station chassana from a reliable source that one lady namely Shama Devi W/O Joginder Singh, age 45 years, R/O Neosi Chanakote, Reasi is indulged in the business of manufacturing and selling of illicit liquor (hooch) at village Neosi of Chanakote and surrounding areas. On this, police party led by SHO Police Station Chassana Inspector Balram Sharma along with PSI Rohit and team from police station Chassana conducted a raid and arrested the Lady namely Shama Devi who is preparing hooch near his house. On seeing police party accused try to run away from spot but was caught on the spot by police party alongwith 12 litres of hooch and also recovered 35 litres of lahan which was destroyed on spot in presence of EMIC Chassana while still, apparatus, pipes utensils etc were seized.
In this regard a case FIR 06 ,U/S 48 (e), Excise Act stands registered at P/S Chassana. The operation was conducted by SHO Police Station Chassana Inspector. Balram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Mahore Dr. Khalid Ashraf, DYSP JKPS, ASP Reasi Surjeet Kumar Bhagat JKPS and overall supervision of SSP Reasi Shailender Singh, JKPS.
