Seizure of 44.81 Cft illicit timber in compt. 80/U in Watsar Village

After receving a specific information regarding illicit timber extracted in Co.80/u, DFO Marwah Vijay Kumar (SFS) and a team headed by AD Forest Protection Force Kishtwar Altaf Hussain Wani rushed on spot and seized 13 scants.
The team under the direct supervision of Division Forest Officer Marwah visited/inspected the above mentioned compartments on which the seizures of 13 scants of Deodar (44.81 cft) was made from the possession of Brij Lal S/O Des Raj, Pintoo Raj S/O Roshan Lal & Brij Lal S/O Des Raj besides this 147.81 cft of Deodar was used by Pintoo Raj S/O Roshan Lal & 118.40 cft of Deodar timber was used by Brij Lal S/O Des Raj R/O Watsar.
Both the persons were asked to produce the documents regarding the usage of timber in under construction of houses and both of them failed to produce any relevant documents regarding the usage of timber in under construction houses and both of them failed to produce any relevent documents pertaining to genuine source of timber.
Both the persons were warned by DFO Marwah to stop further construction of houses with immediate effect .
