New Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah today chaired a high-level review meeting on the new Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir and discussed matters related to development and the security situation there.
Top government functionaries and MHA officials, including National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Union Home Secretary Ajay K Bhalla and Lieut-Governor of Jammu and Kashmir GC Murmu, attended the meeting. The Kashmir valley continues to be on the edge ever since the government decided to abrogate Article 370 that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir and carve out two Union Territories — J&K and Ladakh.
