Udhampur, 18 March: In Spite of tall claims of Govt. about the education system, there are many Government Schools facing shortage of Teaching Staff and also facing the lack of Infrastructure. On the same issue Residents of Panchayat Marothi in Tehsil & Zone Chenani, Udhampur staged a demonstration against the higher ups of the education department. They demand proper teaching staff for High school Marothi from last decade till yet.
Protesters told media persons that the demand of teaching staff in said school is very old, many times we approached the top official of the department and divergent political leaders but in return we got the only false promises from them.
They also said that their delegation met with worthy Chief Education Officer in last week, and he assured us to provide two teachers one with Master Grade Post in said school as soon as possible but still it’s not acted, accordingly we expect that CEO Udhampur will do needful and will proved honest towards the common people and education.
Meanwhile Hemraj Ex-Sarpanch of the area urged the education dept to fill up the vacant post of the school very soon otherwise they will put the way of agitation and boycott to attend the Classes of their offsprings too.
At this event some of the AISF leaders including Surjeet Dhowan were present. Many others like Chairman Govind Singh, Numberdar Jig Panchayat Shankar Dass, Ex-Panch Mohd Ali, Rakesh Singh, Jatinder Singh, Vikram Singh, Pathi Shah, Narjeet Singh Narinder Singh, Kewal Singh, Lal Singh, Ashok Kumar, Bahur Ali, Bushan Kumar were present in the protest. They appealed L.G. Manoj Kumar Sinha intervened and gave necessary instructions to the Education Department to fulfill their long-pending demands so that students of the area can avail proper and quality education.
