    Shortage of teachers jeopardizing career of students in Nobra Valley

    Srinagar, March 6: In Nobra Valley of Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir more than 90% of the sanctioned posts of teachers and lecturers in colleges and schools have been lying vacant for the past several years. This has badly affected the studies of students while locals say that the year 2016, witnessed poor results in the educational institutions of the secluded Valley.
    A group of delegation from Bogdang area of Nobra Valley headed by Sarpanch Ghulam Hyder and former Sarpanch Muhammad Moosa told news agency CNS that the poor strength of teachers has not only been telling upon the standard of education but also jeopardizing the career of talented boys and girls. They said that there is no one who can teach Chemistry, Zoology, Botony, Mathematics, Economics, Education and Urdu at Higher Secondary School Bogdang.
    “We appeal Directorate of School Education Kashmir to fill these posts and depute teachers and lecturers as soon as possible,” they said and added that due to shortage of teachers and lecturers, academic activities in Higher Secondary School is being severely hampered.
    “How can you expect a single teacher to engage all the classes every day and impart quality teaching?” they questioned.
