New Delhi: Bollywood’s powerhouse of talent Ranveer Singh and budding actress Sara Ali Khan’s ‘Simmba’ is slated to hit the silver screens on December 28. The makers decided to release the first song of the film titled ‘Aankh Marey’ today and it is an impressive remix of the 90’s hit song ‘Aankh Maare’.
Sung by Mika Singh, Neha Kakkar and Kumar Sanu, the song gives a twisty feel to the original 90’s track.
And to our surprise, it has a cameo by ‘Golmaal’ film’s lead cast! Well, filmmaker Rohit Shetty surely knows how to keep his audience hooked. And well, we can’t get over the way Karan Johar says ‘Oh God, one more remix’.

The original ‘Aankh Maare’ was a part of the ‘1996 hit film ‘Tere Mere Sapne’ starring Arshad Warsi, Chandrachur Singh, Priya Gill and Simran. The song was sung by Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy.
Coming to Simmba, the film has Ranveer playing a police officer on screen for the first time and marks the actor’s first with Rohit Shetty. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty.
‘Simmba’ is a remake of 2015 Telugu blockbuster film Temper.
This is Ranveer’s first film after his marriage with the gorgeous Deepika Padukone.
