SRTC employees stage protest demanding payment of pending wages and implementation of 7th pay commission
Srinagar, Sep 08, KDC: Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation employees on Thursday staged a protest in demand of release of their pending wages and implementation of seventh pay commission, news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC) reported.
Dozens of JKSRTC employees assembled in Press Colony Srinagar on Thursday and staged a protest.
They were demanding release of their four month long pending wages and were also demanding implementation of seventh pay commission in their favour.
They said that their wages have not been paid since last four months, despite having performed their duties during the Covid-19.
They said that seventh pay commission has not also been implemented in their favour and demanded its immediate implementation.
They also demanded regularization of casual employees and appealed the UT administration to address their problems.
They said that if the government cannot afford to run the corporation, then it should be closed, after compensating the employees properly. (KDC)
