JAMMU, MARCH 11:- The Secretary Tourism and Floriculture, Farooq A Shah today visited Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex in Jammu and instructed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and other agencies to speed up the ongoing work for revival of this precious heritage complex.
The Secretary along with Director Tourism Jammu, Director Floriculture, Joint Director Tourism and other officers of the departments had threadbare discussions on various components for revival of the heritage complex.
The Secretary instructed the officials to engage best professionals for the landscaping purpose and instructed the tourism Director Jammu for submitting detailed proposals of various works to be carried for facilitating the visitors and tourists to this complex within a week’s time.
Farooq A Shah instructed the officials to adhere to eco friendly methods to retain the heritage status of the complex.
The Secretary Tourism also inspected the ongoing works on Jammu cable car project along with the MD cable car, Mr Shamim Wani and Director Tourism Jammu, Executive Engineer JK Tourism Department.
The Secretary stressed upon the officials to speed up the work for timely completion of the project by March2018.
