The dead body of drowned student fished out from Neeru River near Doda

Bhadarwah, June 30:- After hectic efforts since June 27, the dead body of the drowned student was fished out from Neeru River near Doda, on Bhadarwah-Doda Road on Tuesday.
Waris Alam (22) S/O Sajjad Ahmed, a college student, went missing while taking bath in fast-flowing stream of Neeru River.
According to reports, after hectic efforts, the body was fished out from the Neeru River near Galgandhar area of Doda and shifted to District Hospital Doda.
It is notable to mention here that the college student Waris, a resident of Bun Doda along with other boys was taking bath in Neeru river near Doda – Bhadarwah highway, 9 km from Doda town, when suddenly Waris slipped into the fast-flowing stream of the river and disappeared.
The boys immediately raised an alarm and informed the locals, who reached the spot and also informed the police.
When contacted SP Bhadarwah Raj Singh Gouria said that a police team along with locals, Volunteers of Chenab Rescuers and seluthes of SDRF started the search and rescue operation since day one. Today the body of drowned youth has been fished out and shifted to Hospital. “After legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members,” SP informed.
