    Jammu : Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market(Regd.), the oldest and the biggest grain mandi of J&K has honored Women achievers of Jammu with ‘Women Achievers-2022’ for their excellence in their professional fields, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
    The event was organized by Fedration at its Ware House office under the presidentship of Deepak Gupta. Hon’ble Dy. Mayor Ms. Purnima Sharma was the chief guest who was honored by presenting a memento and a shawl by Federation office bearers. After that chief guest honored the women achievers of Jammu.
    Ms. Purnima Sharma, while speaking on the occasion said, “The women must be put in the leadership and given opportunity to take decision. She said it has been noticed that 75% decisions of the women have been recognized. She stressed for girl education, stating that if the mother is educated then her children will grow. She stated that women should be treated as an individual on the basis of merit and not gender. She said that Modi ji has always been a vocal proponent of women empowerment. She said, “International Women’s Day encourages us all to reflect on the importance of gender equality, to celebrate the successes of women.”
    Appreciating the role of women in nation-building, Deepak Gupta, President, Traders Federation Ware House Nehru Market said, “ Women play an important role in the growth of our country in today’s time. Women working in today’s environment face the same challenges as us. Gupta said, “It is a day to celebrate the spirit of all women, who have played extraordinary roles in shaping their families, society and organizations with an untiring determination. Our country is one of the few places that boast of showcasing extraordinary women from very early times. The legendary women from the State also have played a dynamic role in reshaping the life of the modern day women.” Gupta said that today’s event is a small step towards our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of “Empowering Women, Empowering Nation”.
