Udhampur, 21 May: Up in arms against no power supply for the last two days, locals of some villages of Ramnagar held a protest against Power Development Department.
The protesting people said that Ladana, Rassain and Damak areas of Ramnagar tehsil are in dark for the last two days but the department is paying no attention towards the problem being faced by the public. Students are the worst sufferer as they are not able to attend their online classes.
The protesting people said that hundreds of rupees are being paid as electricity rent every month but the PDD failed to ensure the hassle free power supply to the consumers.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PDD authorities and threatened to block the road if the power supply is not restore in these areas.
Meanwhile, when contacted Anil Gupta XEN Power Development Department (PDD) Udhampur about this matter he assured us to resolve the issues of public as early as possible.
