Adelaide: Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s celebration following the dismissal of opener Aaron Finch on the second day of the first Test between India and Australia has gone viral and is a true indication of what cricketing passion is all about.
Kohli jumped up in joy, pumping his fist as he celebrated with his teammates.
Earlier, India were dismissed for 250 off the first delivery of the day’s play.
In reply, Australia failed to pace their innings well. The hosts ended the day’s play at 191/7 following an unbeaten half-century by rookie Travis Head, despite losing a flurry of wickets at crucial intervals.
Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the Indian bowlers claiming three wickets. He further enjoyed quality support from Jasprit Bumrah (2/34) and Mohammed Shami (0/51) who delivered a disciplined performance with the ball.
