Virender Sehwag’s tweet after Blind World T20 title disappoints India’s captain

New Delhi, Feb 14: In World Cups of all formats, India hold an edge over Pakistan. In six 50-over ICC World Cup encounters between these two nations, India has won all six. In the Twenty20 format, India have won all four encounters against Pakistan.

This winning streak has extended even to the Blind World Cup, in which India defended their crown in 2012 when they defeated Pakistan by nine wickets in the final of the Blind T20 World Cup in Bangalore. In 2012, they had defeated Pakistan to win the inaugural edition.
Following the win, there were accolades pouring in for the Indian cricket team. The BCCI, as well as the likes of Sachin Tendulkar congratulated the team for their success.
However, one tweet by Virender Sehwag has not gone down well with the captain of the Indian team, Ajay Reddy. Sehwag had congratulated the Indian team but he used the hashtag #OtherMeninBlue. The use of this hashtag has disappointed Reddy.
Speaking to a national English daily, Reddy said, “We wear the same blue jersey, represent the same tri-colour and play with equal pride and passion then why term us as ‘other’? It is appreciable that he congratulated us but then we are no others. We too are the men in blue.”

India enjoyed a magnificent tournament, losing just one game, which was against Pakistan in Delhi in a high-scoring encounter.
