    Woman burnt alive, Police register case

    Jammu, Jan 31: According to Station House Officer (SHO) Bomai, Abdul Majeed, “A woman identified as Shahzada Begum, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Shah was allegedly burnt alive by her in-laws in Reshi Pora area.”

    A woman was burnt alive allegedly by her in-laws at Reshi Pora village at Bomai here in north Kashmir, locals and officials said on Monday.

    According to Station House Officer (SHO) Bomai, Abdul Majeed, “A woman identified as Shahzada Begum, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Shah was allegedly burnt alive by her in-laws in Reshi Pora area.”

    Witnesses said the face of Shahzada bore multiple burn injuries. “She was shifted to Sub District Hospital where from doctors referred her to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment,” they added.

    Meanwhile, SHO Bomai said they have registered a case under FIR no 6/2017 under section 498 A and 307 in this regard. He said that the investigations have been taken up in this regard.
