Monitoring Desk, 05-June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is focussing on the environment in a big way just like any other area for its growth. In a video message at the World Environment Day event in New Delhi, he said the government has emphasized on green and clean energy in the last nine years.
Modi added that India in the 21st century is moving forward with a clear roadmap on climate change and environmental protection. The Prime Minister highlighted the initiatives including Green Hydrogen Mission, focus on natural farming and green economy.
Modi said, on one hand if India has expanded its 4G and 5G network, it has also enhanced its forest cover. He added that India has raised the issue of climate justice in front of the world and is focusing on the economy along with ecology.
